RANGERS LINKED WITH SIGNING OF £3.5 MILLION SUPERSTAR WHO HAS IMPRESSED

Scottish Premier League heavyweights Rangers have been a team that have lacked goals in recent times and have had to hold on 1-0 wins in some of their recent games. The club are currently in electric form as they sit atop the Scottish Premier League table and almost have the title in their hands. With the team needing a proven prolific goalscorer in the squad, the club have now been linked to the signing of Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohammed.

The striker was linked with a January move to Ibrox as a move to the Gers appeared to be on the cards but the deal never materialized as Steven Gerrard's side were unwilling to part ways with the £3 million asking price requested by Zamalek for the player.

Rangers instead opted to sign Florian Kamberu from league rivals Hibernian as a second option. However, despite their new signing, they have still set sights on Mostafa as the striker continues to make a name for himself even in faraway Turkey. Since the 23-year-old moved to Turkey to sign for Turkish Super Lig outfit Galatasaray, he has scored in all the four games he has played in so far, in what is continuing to be a prolific start to his Galatasaray career.
He has been capped four times for Egypt and only moved to Turkey on the last day of the January winter transfer window. He is now proving to be an integral part of FatihTerim's side and is stamping his name on the first-team sheet gradually. In his last league game for Galatasaray, he showed once again how important he is to his team after scoring a last-minute winner against rivals Kasımpaşa S.K
With the transfer window currently shut, the earliest time Rangers will be able to sign him is this summer when the window reopens for business.
