Rangers Get Several Recruits From Liverpool

Recent news at Rangers is about the Liverpool recruits that Steven Gerrard has been bringing in the team. He has been turning to coaches and players of his former club, Liverpool. Putting these connections to good use, the former captain of the Reds has been supplementing his squad for Ibrox as well as his coaching staff. He is gaining talent from Anfield during this season as a manager and boss at Rangers.

Among the players he has been bringing in, Jon Flanagan is on the list; a free transfer was initiated by this former defender of Liverpool. This 25-year-old player has signed on a two-year deal; he hopes to get back his career, on the field as well as off it after the spate of problems he had been facing.

Ovie Ejaria is a talented youngster who has been taken on loan from Liverpool. It is a season-long loan and this was done after his contract with the Reds was extended in the early part of June this year.

Ryan Kent is a winger who is 21 years of age and he is one of the latest recruits from Liverpool by Gerrard. He has struggled last season when playing for Bristol City and Freiburg and now he is eager to prove himself at Ibrox.

Among the coaching staff, Gerard has picked up his former assistant, Gary McAllister, who was his former partner in midfield position as well. McAllister will have a pivotal role to play along with Michael Beale, who was a former coach of Liverpool U23; Gerrard has also taken on Tom Culshaw who had played with Gerrard way back when he coached the U18s in Liverpool. Jordan Milsom also had a coaching spell with Liverpool and would now look into fitness and performance strategies for the Rangers.
