Rangers FC is being linked with various potential winter targets

Celtic FC are leading the way of the Scottish Premiership standings with 31 points collected from the 11 initial league matches that they have played and this is an extremely impressive start of season for Brendan Rodgers and his squad as they have not lost a single match so far.

In order for Rangers to try and keep up with Celtic and maintain their surge for the top spots of the competition, it’s believed that the head coach of Rangers Mark Warburton is interested in reinforcing his squad and a list of possible candidates have emerged as players that Warburton might sign in the approaching winter transfer window which opens on January of 2017.

The Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjcar recently picked up a cruciate injury which is expected to leave him out of action for around 6 months and Joey Barton has recently been offloaded from the club after he was found breaking rules in relation to gambling on football matches.

Aiden O'Neill is an 18 year old player that despite his young age, he has already been featured in the Premier League and made 3 appearances. The youngster has shown promise and making a move to another club where he can continue developing his skills on a more consistent basis can significantly improve his career. Making a move to the Scottish outfit Rangers is something that can benefit all of the parties involved and this player has been linked as a possible loan signing for Mark Warburton of Rangers.

Another one of the potential winter targets of Rangers is the 18 year old Australian midfielder Jake Brimmer who is currently performing in the academy youth squad of Liverpool FC. The youngster is impressing in the youth academy of the Premier League club and a loan deal can help the youngster in getting playing time with the main team of a squad while Brimmer gets experience outside of Liverpool.
