Rangers recovered from the shock 3-0 defeat against Queen of the South to beat Raith Rovers 4-0 in front of their own supporters.
The victory helped them moved level on points with Hibernian in the second spot, although the opposition have a game in hand. It also helped them open a small advantage overQueen of the South, who occupy the final play-off spot. The possibility of finishing top of the table and returning back to the Scottish Premier League automatically has effectively gone after Heart of Midlothian recently increased their advantage to 23 points.
